This is the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, Netherlands — a place that draws millions of tourists from around the world every year. Although it's a small museum, the demand to visit is incredibly high. That’s why getting a ticket can be quite difficult.

You can’t buy tickets at the museum itself; they’re available only online. Even then, tickets are released just once a week — every Tuesday, for visits over the following six weeks. So, if you’re planning a trip to Amsterdam or anywhere in the Netherlands, the Anne Frank House is a must-visit, but make sure to plan ahead.

Almost every tourist adds this museum to their itinerary, and for good reason. The story behind it is powerful and deeply moving. If you’re not familiar with Anne Frank’s story, a quick search will show you why this museum holds such global significance.

Now, on the screen, and here’s what you need to do:

Go to annefrank.org — this is the official website to get your tickets.

You must buy your tickets only from this site. They’re not available on any other website, and you won’t find them elsewhere either.

As you can only book tickets on Tuesday, which is important because tickets are released only once a week. That means you need to be quick, because they sell out fast!

Sometimes, after selecting your tickets, you might be placed in a virtual queue. If that happens, just wait patiently — once your turn comes, you can proceed with the booking.

Let’s go ahead and check the process now.

On the left side of the screen, you’ll see an option called “Buy Tickets”. Click on that — it’s your starting point. Once you select it, the booking process is quite simple.

That said, getting the ticket itself is the hard part — not because the process is complicated, but because of the high demand.

Now, let’s scroll down and take a look at the ticket prices.

If you have any questions, visit the museum's official page. Scroll down to the Frequently Asked Questions section, where you can find answers to any doubts you may have. For example, the museum allows you to stay for a maximum of one hour. Please note that photography and video recording are not allowed inside the museum. However, you can take pictures outside.

There is no specific guided speed for the museum visit. Instead, they provide an audio guide, which is available in multiple languages including Dutch, English, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, and Japanese. There are also tickets available in Portuguese and Spanish. However, please note that once you purchase the ticket, it cannot be exchanged or refunded, and there is no cancellation policy. Therefore, make sure to purchase your ticket thoughtfully.

The museum has a cafe where you can relax and enjoy a variety of refreshments. Outside, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the canal. There is also a cloakroom available, but it is recommended to leave only smaller luggage there. For larger items, it might be a bit tight. If you are planning to visit with a group, you can make a reservation through the museum's website. There are options for school groups as well, with different ticket options for primary and secondary schools, along with introductory programs.

Please keep in mind that the museum has steep stairs and not all areas are accessible by elevator, so be prepared for that during your visit. If you can't manage the steep stairs, you can visit the Museum of Modern Part.

Now, let's check booking tickets for the Anne Frank Exhibit in New York. Here's how to do it online. Go to the homepage and type "AnneFrankExhibit.org."

On the website, click on "Buy Tickets."

Tickets are available until October 2025, but they sell out quickly, so it's important to book in advance. Due to high demand, ticket availability has been extended for six more months.

On the website, you'll see the upcoming dates for the Anne Frank Exhibit. You can check availability for April and May, and June tickets are also open.

Choose a date—let’s say you pick Tuesday, June 17th. After selecting the date, you’ll see available slots. For example, there’s a 10:45 AM morning slot.

After selecting your preferred time, confirm your slot.

For adult admission, tickets cost $26 from Monday to Friday.

Be sure to book early as tickets can sell out fast!

To purchase tickets, you need to order at least 20 tickets. Currently, the number displayed is 20, but we’ve only selected one. If you’re a youth (17 and under), the ticket price is free, and for a family admission (Monday to Friday), the cost is $76, which includes two adults and two children under 17 years of age. I've added one adult ticket, which costs $22.

Please note, the processing fee varies, and you need to complete the purchase within 15 minutes. For general admission to the Center for Jewish History and Anne Frank Exhibit, the ticket is $24, with an additional $2 fee, bringing the total to $26. After this, continue by scrolling down and you can choose to receive the tickets on your mobile.

The total charge will be $26.78, including the processing fee. Enter your billing information, including your card number, expiry date, and security code. Before finalizing the purchase, ensure you tick the box confirming that the purchase is non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

To proceed, agree to the terms and conditions, and then make your purchase. Once you've completed the purchase, you can either view your ticket on your mobile or download and print a hard copy to present at the venue.

The exhibition has been extended until October 31, 2025, as announced on the homepage. The opening hours are Sunday through Thursday from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM, and Friday from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The venue is closed on Saturdays. Please note that the last entry is one hour before closing.

If you're interested in school tour, or you can do a group tour or opt for a private tour. To arrange a visit, you'll need to fill out a form. After submitting the form, they will respond to your request. Once you've done that, your arrangements will be confirmed.

Individual Time Slot Ticket: If you choose this option, you’ll need to stick to a specific time slot. The price is $24, but you must arrive at the designated time.

Individual Flex Ticket: This option gives you more flexibility. You can visit anytime between 9:30 AM and one hour before closing. The price is $38, which is a bit higher, but it includes an audio guide. You can also arrive earlier than your chosen time (up to 1.5 hours before), and the exhibition takes about an hour to complete, so you'll have enough time to enjoy it at a relaxed pace.

Both ticket types require a security check similar to an airport, but the flex ticket gives you the freedom to choose your visit time.
