Erawan Waterfalls

The scenery is beautiful, the waterfalls are so pretty and it’s a really lovely area of Thailand. The walk isn’t that challenging and you can make it easily up to level 7. It’s a lot of stairs but the walk is boarded and there is only one bit that you have to walk on a couple of rocks to cross a water section. The Waterfall at the top is just stunning but if you're going to do this, carry about 3 bottles of water because I promise you you will sweat it out! But enjoy all the views and dip yourself in the water along the way, its lovely! Make sure you rent the life jackets and have a spare change of clothes. There are plenty of food places when you come back down so you can try some authentic Thai food too. All in all, a beautiful place and well worth the visit.

Thi Lo Su Waterfall

The natural beauty of this majestic waterfall is simply stunning, with its cascading waters and lush landscapes creating a serene atmosphere. The highlight of the trip is the boat ride, which offered a unique perspective of the falls and surrounding scenery. The prices for the boat rides are reasonable, making it an excellent value for money. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or just looking to relax and take in some breathtaking views, Thi Lo Su Waterfall is definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore a hidden gem in Thailand. The journey to Thi Lo Su Waterfall is quite lengthy, it's absolutely worth the trip. As the largest waterfall in Thailand, it stands out as a spectacular natural wonder that should not be missed. The effort to get there is rewarded with awe-inspiring views and an incredible sense of tranquility. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or just looking to relax and take in some breathtaking views, Thi Lo Su Waterfall is definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore a hidden gem in Thailand.

Doi Inthanon National Park

The highest mountain in Thailand! The journey will take an hour plus from Chiang Mai to here, but it is definitely worth the drive. You will be required to buy the ticket at the bottom of the mountain. The route is pretty straightforward, just one way up you won't be turning here and there. At the very top you will see a Buddha statue which is very beautiful. There are plenty of spots to check out in this place so it is advised you to reserve a day for this. Especially if you are into hiking. A 2 hour trek with complimentary food in the end. Coffee plantations by the Karen tribes are beautiful, and ground coffee is extremely good at a fair price. You should definitely come here if you set foot in Chaing Mai or Thailand. Overall it is highly recommended!

Tham Lot Cave

This stunning cave features impressive stalactites and stalagmites, and exploring it by bamboo raft adds an extra element of excitement. The journey through the cave is captivating, with the serene underground river and ancient archaeological finds adding to its allure. Would advise you not to go if you have a bird phobia, the cave is full of them. Guides are helpful! 600Baht per group, with a max of three per group. Top tip is to pack a nice smell inhaler as the smell of bird poop is horrible, really cool deep and huge caves. It’s worth the trip. You can hire a scooter out there too so do that if you can to cut costs down and the organized tours from central Pai are a bit rip off. 3 huge caves with bats and birds, Take a small bamboo boat to go to the 3rd cave. You will have to pay for the guide at the entrance. It's mandatory. They had a torch and were pointing out the most interesting rocks and formations in the caves. Do go during December period, as all 3 caves will be open for visitors.

Krabi, Southern Thailand town serves as base camp for visiting the province, a lush green jungles, limestone cliffs and isles floating just offshore in the Andaman Sea. Explore these places in Krabi:

Railay Beach & Phra nang Cave Beach

Beautiful, albeit busy beach with people and longtail boats. It has jaw dropping, limestone cliffs surrounding it that take your breath away upon first sight. The sunsets here are the most beautiful you will ever seen around the world! The beach is always bust but will be gorgeous. Lots of bars and restaurants with a cool vibe and reasonable prices. A must to visit for either a day or couple of nights. Cross over to the other side, there's a bar on the outskirts with amazing views.

A very strange cave at the end of the beach, but a lovely beach for a swim. Ao Nang had a lot of jelly fish in the water, At one end of the beach are the two caves with their unusual shrines, Princess Cave and Phra Nang Cave. At the other end is the massive and impressive rock tower, Ko Rang Kai. It is a crescent shaped beach with golden sands surrounded by mountains terrain we views of islands out at sea. Like all other beaches there are no sunbeds or umbrellas on the beach. The only shade is provided by the trees at the back of the beach. It appears to be busiest at the Cave end of the beach where the access pathway is. Along the way to the beach there are plenty of small shops to purchase supplies for a stay on the Beach. Canoeing for hire one hour 300 Baht

Emerald Pool

The most exciting natural pool. The experience will be amazing. It’s a 800 meter walk from the drop point through the mangrove/jungle, which in itself amazing. The place is clean and tidy. Well maintained. They even do a water test every month to check for the water feasibility for swimming. There are clean washrooms near by. Paid shops available which hold water and other cold drinks. Many miss this place. But it’s a must visit place if in Krabi. Entry costs 400 baht for an adult and 200 baht per child. When prices are like this, it makes it less about the natural beauty and more touristy. Enjoy the scenery and liked swimming in the emerald pool.

Tiger Cave Temple

A very interesting temple near the Krabi Airport. Definitely worth a stop, or a morning visit if you are at one of the beach hotels. Go in the morning and climb the 1,000 + stairs to the top for a magnificent view. Great experience to do ! The ticket costs 50 baht. With a good shape is possible to climb to the top in 30-35min. The panoramic view is amazing. Monkeys might keep you company, and the top boasts a golden Buddha statue and stunning Krabi landscape. Not for the faint of leg, but absolutely worth the climb! For the sunrise view, you have to be at the top around 5:45am, A must-have in Krabi !!!

Phi Phi Islands

From Phuket airport there are mini buses which charge 200Bath to take you to Rassada pier. Ferry ticket Approx. 550Bath, After 2hr journey you can arrive at Tonsai Bay. Even though crowded, Tonsai Beach is a beautiful sight. On Phi phi don, narrow foot paths are surrounded by Restaurants, travel agencies, 9/11 shops, clothing shops and tattoo shops. It's better to buy Maya bay and other excursion tickets day earlier as tickets are not available in the morning. Better select a hotel after arrival and walking around a bit. Maya bay is a must visit. Speed boats are safe and well regulated. 6.30 to 10.30 journey is 1000bath including 400bath entrance fee to Maya Bay. 6.30 to 14.30 one is 1400Bath. Snorkeling is probably the best experience here! Phi Phi Islands were the best destination. Great diving with beautiful coral, fish, squid, shark!

Saline Hot Spring Khlong Thom

A hot spring with pools in stages around it in gradations from warm to really hot. Very popular with the locals, but not so much with the crowds of tourists. The short nature walk and watchtower are a nice addition too. The saline water comes from under the ground and into the first pool at 43°. It overflows into adjoining pools, progressively getting cooler as it goes. It is good for reducing blood pressure and relaxing muscle tension. This is the only hot spring in Thailand with naturally occurring salty water. Entrance fee is Approx. 200 Baht for foreigners,. The pool was just steps away from the carpark. The grounds are well-maintained. There is a shower area (no soap or shampoo allowed), changing rooms, toilets, lockers, even a prayer room.

Ao Luk Mangrove & Caves

Very picturesque, many small waterfalls and a couple of caves. Lots of lush greenery and tall trees, beautiful mountains in the background. The place is gorgeous, very humid in the jungle, jumping in the waterfall and swimming in the small lagoons, exceptional! Charges are 300 THB/person. Ticket includes entrance to the 2 caves located 7km far from the park. The transportation to the caves is extra charged (800 THB/person for the kayak or 800 THB /1 longtail boat. Caves are definitely worth visiting.

Krabi Elephant Sanctuary

Amazing and super friendly animals. Great interaction. You are actually helping the sanctuary to prepare food and feed / clean the elephants. It will be an absolutely amazing day. You can choose either morning or afternoon visit. Personally I recommend morning visit as it wont be too hot. The people running the sanctuary will really looked like they cared for the animals.

Dragon Crest Mountain Krabi

A wonderful adventure with breathtaking views, for those willing to put in a little work to get to the top of the Dragons Crest. Entrance fee is Approx. 200 baht per person. A lot of rocks and sand so it can be quite slippery in places so I recommend tennis or hiking shoes would be better. Bring more water than you think you’ll need! and also i recommend starting early in the day. The view at the top is incredible but you do need to scramble across some rocks to get there. It’s shaded for 95% of the hike which was will be a lifesaver. It takes around 4 hours round trip, You can do it if you’re relatively fit. I recommend walking down the road to the taxi stands outside of nearby resorts.

Than Bok Khorani National Park

Another good national reserve to visit in Krabi. Its Calm and cool ambience surrounded with water & thick shade of tree. Short walk from parking to the pond (300 M) full of sound from nature. In certain season like winter and summer, you could swim in the pond too but not during the rainy season. Short trekking can be done in this area too. 300 baht ticket price for foreigners vs 60 baht for Thai locals. Regardless of the price difference, it’s a tiny “national park”.Don't forget to visit and walk around the beautiful beach at this national park also swimming too, It would be better if you come in the morning and do the picnic and stay there all day.

The show consists of a 45 Min dolphins and 10 mins of the Seals. It is a very well choreographed show and just displays exemplary training of the crew as well as dolphins. Phang Nga Bay - James Bond Island

Not to be missed. The James Bond island is famous here and it reminds you of the movie “The Man with a Golden Gun” if you’re a fan of James Bond movie it’s exciting to see the movie setting so worth a tour but its always crowded when you get there with boats and vendors, Take a inclusive tour of stopping at Floating village for lunch and Kayak on a cave. The island itself is a lovely little cove with a market and toilet/ washing facilities and is famous for where an iconic scene from the James Bond movie was filmed. The island's iconic limestone towers and caves are even more impressive in person, rising dramatically from the emerald-green waters of Phang Nga Bay. The boat ride to the island is scenic, offering stunning views of the surrounding seascape.

Similan Islands

The Similan Islands is a group of islands in the Andaman Sea and part of, Phang Nga Province.. Similan Islands are located just 84 km northwest of the Phuket. Koh Similan is one of the best-known island groups in the Andaman Sea, mainly because of very interesting and adventurous things and breathtaking sceneries that exists in the zone. This stunning archipelago is accessible from south of Khao Lak in Phang Nga and it takes about 70 minutes to get there by speedboat. The national park is closed during the rainy season (May to October) in order to prevent environmental destruction and wildlife protection. The largest island of the park is the island number "8" which is called "Ko Similan". This island is very interesting and it has a very amazing panoramic viewpoint at top. Going there is not easy because you have to pass the way through rocks and stones on bare foot. The only thing that was still interesting, was "going up" the hills and rocks and getting to the summit. In this place you would find a peaceful panoramic viewpoint and it's really worthy of hiking. Enjoy the best snorkeling in the area.

Mu Ko Ang Thong National Marine Park

A very nice place which includes snorkeling, hiking to see the emerald Lagoon, and the option to climb up to the view point, which is very demanding and challenging even if you're in good shape. Electricity is limited; hence there’s no A/C. There are lots of animals such as monkeys, toucans, geckos, and snakes. If you are lucky you can spot dolphins too. The hike takes Approx. 50 minutes up and down. The hike is mainly under cover from the sun with trees above you but it does open up at the top. At this park you have caves and a difficult Trek to a highest point from where you can see a whole cluster of islands. Definitely a must to see in Thailand coasts.

Khao Sok National Park

Full of nature, beautiful cliffs, rocks, jungles, animals. This place is magical, breathtaking and beautiful and one of the kind. You must consider going here, the water is gorgeous, the diamond cave is full of bats, insects and gives you a great adventure. You can only see very specific spots and you must go on a large group tour so you see more people than animals. Also triple price for foreigners. The park is kept very well. However, if you are adventurous, get a required guide so you can go to very offbeat areas that are full of beautiful jungle, rivers, and a little wildlife. Staying in a floating bungalow is a great experience. The water is clear and great to swim in and the feeling when you wake up in the morning will be amazing! Don't skip this!
