Dramatic Waterfalls Above Tada Main Falls
Right Time to Visit Tada Falls - Visit to Huge Waterfalls Above Tada Main Falls - Tada Falls Complete Guide
It was at 5:30 AM gloomy Sunday morning, we set off from Chennai to Tada Falls, though not strange terrain to us. Leaving before the scheduled time, we moved 50km, with another 50km to go before our first destination, an area that was very active even at this early hours.
We then reached the barricade of the tada entrance where people were waiting for it to open at around 8.00 AM in the morning. We were now on the move with the ticket in hand, having paid even for the car parking, a place we have been to several times but this time my hope is to reexplore it. The new changes regarding parking facilities clearly indicated that we were at the starting point of the trekking activity.
The first segment of the trail that we followed took us straight to a quiet location to swimming pool, just close to the parking area. Across lay a more challenging path, dotted with waterfalls and culminating in a deep blue lake above—an idyllic yet demanding terrain that promised scenic rewards for the adventurous.
When crossing the rocks and meeting with sometimes steep climb we reach near a temple which indicated that the path gradually grows more challenging. From then on, the road becomes slightly more difficult and marked with signs showing that what we intended to do would not be easy.
Gradually the first falls were revealed against rather meager waters flow – it was the dry season again. Undeterred, we moved further ahead and every step that was taken, uncovered more of the beauty of nature that formed part of the environment. The second falls although they do not involve large volumes of water especially in comparison to the first, revealed strikingly a very deep blue pool which is a clear indication that even without the forceful display of water the area is endowed with natural beauty.
Also, clambering higher and higher the track has become steeper and it started asking me to maneuver around sharp rock formations and slippery edges. Our hard work paid off at the last day when we reached the third and most spectacular path leading to a waterfall that is normally off-limits for tourist because of the tough terrine that needs to be crossed. Here, however, there was still water, the water was sparse, but it gave a feeling of calm in the middle of the mountains.
Descending from our vantage point, we navigated carefully with especial attention in the wet floor and walls and the sometimes feeble ledge. Further on was the prospect of yet another waterfall which, despite the name, had significantly less water than the former two; it was again a sign of the seasonal changes that made the attraction popular.
After we finished the tour along the falls we usually thought of the hardships of the trek and the beauty that came with it. This journey had tried our patience, and one could tell periodically by the multiple slides seen on any of the slopes that the ground is indeed harsh.
On our return to the base I noticed the flow of people which was completely opposite to the conditions of the limited private opportunities to have a walk and be alone with the Greater Nature. I realized the main issue with the off-season especially concerning the flow of water and tourist experience as I soaked in the hot sun the, middle of the day.
Looking back, I realized that we have deliberate to come traveling during the summer, which brings out the best from the falls. During this visit though the place was noted to in offering the best of its features in terms of nature and beauty, timing is critical to get the best of Tada falls.
Finally, we relocated ourselves to leave and moving out we met the section of the swimming pool area filled up with people crowding despite the difficulties arising from the shortage of places. Our return journey which was a bumpy ride along the dusty roads with the memories of the hard gained victory made us think about other visits and how best to do it the next time is to probably visit in weekdays rather than the weekends.
The journey concluded with a dusty car and looming over it and thoughts of a well-deserved lunch at Adyar Anand Bawan which is a regular pit-stop on the highway where the weary are refreshed and the peckish fed. But the wonders of the season could not defeat the temptation of summer escapades especially Tada Falls – waiting for a comeback and more appreciation of the life’s blessings.
All in all, the Sunday visit to the Tada Falls during the off-stream sharpens its discovery’s interest and at the same time enforces a certain vulnerability But the real beauty of this natural creation lies yet in the beauty of its water and teeming to life during the wet season.
